Yep-i-doo-dah, Christmas is nearing! And, oh, it's already the third day of Hanukkah! HAPPY CHRISNUKKAWANZAA!
I heard a new pair of Air Jordans came out. I'm not a label-y person, but I heard this pair is super ugly. Like rainboots. And, ahhh! I LOVE ME SOME CHRISTMAS CAROLS!!!! At church school today, my friend and her friend were trying to sing Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland in harmony. Something was off with her friend's harmony, though, so I offered to sing with her. CUZ' I LOVE ME SOME HARMONIES. So we were singing, and it was so magical. A dood in my class was like, "Now that sounds nice." And we three girls were just singing. And of course there was always some downer saying, "No. No. No. Nononono" I just wish more people walked up to me and forced me to randomly sing, ya know? I lub singing. But I'm not gonna walk up to people and be like, "HEY HEAR ME SING M'KAY?? KAY ONE TWO THR-" Like, no. No. I am not gonna do that. Anyway, like regular songs, I have a ton of fave Christmas songs and carols and stuff. Last year it was O Holy Night, but I think this year it's Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. My favorite version is by Christina Perri. :] I mean, it's a simple melody and almost everyone can sing it, but it's the way the artist gives it warmth that makes it my favorite. Also, in choir at school we're singing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, How Like a Winter, and This Christmas. YERSH, HARMONIES. Harmonies make me happy. Me no know why. Maybe because it gives a twist on a regular melody. Well, SmAlL rOuNd GrEeN vEgEtAbLeS!!!! So I was watching good ol' YouTube when an ad pops up for Cartier, whatever that brand is. And I'm listening to the music and I'm like, "This. Is. GREATAWESOMESPECTACULARFANTASTICLOVELYPRETTY!" And SoundHound helped me find this wonderful piece by Danny Elfman. I've never watched Edward Scissorhands, but based on this music, it must've been a superb movie. I first thought it was from "The Polar Express" or something. But lemme tell you, it's really great. Like, it's one of those songs you'll want to listen to right before you die. LIKE, OHMYGOSH, I ALMOST CRIED WHILE LISTENING TO THIS. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING OF. IT WAS JUST SO AMAZING. Girls will listen to OneDirection all their life? I'll listen to this. If this was the only song I'd ever listen to in my life, I would a) be extremely contented, b) cry a whole lot cuz' FEELS, and c) just explode. I dunno, it just feels like it describes life in general. There's some sad parts, some magical parts, some truly amazing parts, but in the end, you know it's a life lived well. *goosebumps* It makes me feel nostalgic and a little sad those memories are from the past, but then again, it assures me that there's still more memories waiting to be created. It makes me think of what could've been. It makes me believe that there's beauty in everything even when I live in a less than perfect world. It give me the impression that the world is so vast yet so delicate. Okay, seriously? I gotta make a new blog category for this. And what's it called? "LIFE CHANGING". Listen, I have a lot of "favorite songs". In fact, I probably have enough "favorite songs" for every day of the year. But if this song isn't at the top of that list if not the best, I don't know what is. Life is in that song. Life could describe that song. No, that song describes life. And guess what? It has no lyrics. It's vague and general, but it could precisely describe one's life in a heartbeat. And that's what makes it beautiful.
And do you know what else? It's MY 2012 Song of the Year. I'd be insane if that weren't the best. I've tumbled upon what I think should be the best songs for everyone, period. And this made the top. It could even be my life song of the year, for all I care. It's just that great. And that's life-changing indeed. Hey! It actually gets colder than 50 degrees now! Anyway, I discovered some faboo (is that how you spell it? or is it "fabu"?) songs, specifically two. One of them's a love song, the other one's a. . . love/hate song. Here's Beautiful Like You by Lee DeWyze and Landfill by Daughter! Like, srsly, I die during the choruses. One's all romantic and the other one's all FEEL-y. "If you could only just stop, stop, stop running/ if you could only take a second to breathe it in/ everything that you know would be beautiful, like you/ you know they're never gonna stop, stop, stop your love/ let's pretend that the world is wakin' up/ everything that we see is beautiful, like you" -Beautiful Like You by Lee DeWyze "Well this is torturous electricity between both of us/ and this is dangerous/ I want you so much/ but I hate your guts, I hate you" -Landfill by Daughter I mean, everything in Beautiful Like You are the things I would want someone to tell me. It doesn't even have to be romantic, it could be friends and family-themed, I guess. And Landfill. . . The music and lyrics are haunting, if that makes any sense.
And, erm, WAS IT LOUIEMAN1'S BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY??! A.K.A CREATOR OF RANDOMTHINGYZ??! WHICH IS NOW DEAD FOR THE SECOND TIME?!?!!?!?!?? I could've sworn it was. It's been on my calendar for forever. Really, I have this calendar in my room and I think I wrote it down months ago. And I was gonna post this yesterday, but my laptop was being a meanie. So if it was Louieman1's birthday yesterday, sorry I missed it D: AND NEXT TIME REMIND ME OF EVERYTHING, LOUIEMAN1!!!!! Remember when Beyonce's "Halo" was known to be copied from Kelly Clarkson's "Already Gone"? As if that's not the only pair of songs to be similar. I've once pondered, yes, PONDERED, if the world will ever run out of new music. After all, a lot of songs today seem too monotonous. Turns out I wasn't the only one who thought this. So, basically, no. But that doesn't mean artists are gonna try to find their own music. Here's some stuff vsauce recommended and I followed. The Axis of Awesome created 4 Chords, a music video showing how plenty of songs use the same four chords. Oh, my gawd. When Time to Say Goodbye came up, I started laughing hysterically. Next, Sounds Just Like. Here's some of my fave song pairs that sound similar. David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over" with Coldplay's "Clocks" Taylor Swift's "Haunted" with Coldplay's "The Scientist" Green Day's "Waiting" with Petula Clark's "Downtown" (Why this one? Cuz' I want to.) The Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" with the Rolling Stones' "The Last Time" Yep, that's all! And, uh, what am I forgetting? Oh, that's right. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I hope you guys are enjoying your deep-fried turkey (that's not fattening) while reading this post! Small round green vegetables!
Fruit cups are the best thing ever invented since. . . Oh, wait, no it's not. But on the bright side, it's an okay invention! :)
Now for some yearbook-signing tips, Jazelyn style! Yes, I know. You don't really care at the moment cuz' everyone gets their yearbooks at the end of the year. . . But this kind of stuff is important to me. When you sign a yearbook, know that this may be the last time you talk to or see this person. So you gotta give this lasting impression, show your personality, remind this person about how you were friends. Tip #1: Don't do the whole H.A.G.S. thing. Yeah, "have a great summer" and whoop-dee-do, it spells the word "hags", haha. Well, that's totes lame. Don't write like it'll be one summer before you see them again, write like you'll never ever see them. Ever. Like, srsly, if all you put is "H.A.G.S.", that person will remember you as the person that couldn't come up with anything. Tip #2: Don't talk about boring stuff. Cuz' I totally care about how we had math class together. *sarcasm* Listen, you can talk about math or whatever, just don't talk about it because you have absolutely nothing to say. If you don't anything to say, SAY SO!!! Use humor! Be blunt! Acknowledge your empty mind! Say something different like, "Roses are red, violets are blue, I have no idea what to say to you." And see? I just made that right at the top of my head. It's better than "blah, blah, that one thing in math class". Tip #3: Don't be cliche`. You signed my crack. Ha, that's funny. But it's less funny if you COPIED IT FROM A WEIRD YEARBOOK-SIGNING POWERPOINT PRESENTATION. (Calm yourself, Jazelyn. . .) If you're gonna use a cliche`, make it not-so cliche`. Gonna use the "I signed your crack" cliche`? Make it as your own by adding your twist on it, like "I signed your crack. . . I hope you don't feel violated :)" or something!!! Tip #4: Be courteous. Perhaps you shouldn't write with a Sharpie or else it'll bleed through. Perhaps you shouldn't write so big so that others can't sign. It's called Yearbook Etiquette. They asked you if you could sign their yearbook, the least you could do is to keep it pretty. Tip #5: Sign your name illegibly. Have you ever read the things in your yearbook and was like, "Who wrote that? Whose phone number is that? WHAT?" Well, dude! Don't be that person! If you like signing your name in cursive but want them to actually know who you are, maybe put your name below the real one in parentheses in smaller handwriting and printed. I know I'll do that. Tip #6: Be. Frikkin'. Different! Wanna stand out? Wanna be the girl that people ask you to sign their yearbooks because you're THAT AWESOME? Well, be different! Sketch something! Have a one-of-a-kind signature! Use inside jokes! Sign guys and gals! Be witty! Think up a different thing to write each and every time you sign! JUST. BE. DIFFERENT. Yersh, that is it! I hope this'll help you improve your yearbook skillz! Cuz' I'm just that passionate about signing yearbooks. It's another one of those days where I go crazy over some music. So, hurr ya go. T_T That was me crying, by the way.
Oh, gawd. I love 5:15 and so forth. With the. . . xylophone, I think? And ohmigosh CRESCENDO. I LUV IT. I LUV IT. ILUVITILUVITILUVIT. I just got a shiver. And it's not because it's cold in my house. Like, it's just SOO cool when a music group does a piece people actually know, not like some random song deep in the abyss of music. . . Like, do you know how many people who watched Avatar: The Last Airbender and were ecstatic to see an epicly talented group play songs THEY ACTUALLY KNOW??! It was a lot of people. The whole fandom on Tumblr. Fandoms are huge, guys. Like, srsly, I've been YouRepeat-ing 4:32 to 6:21 for a while now. Well, enough of my rambling. Small round green vegetables! Heh heh. . . love the title of this post.
Let's see, what're we gonna talk about today? Oh. OH! I know! In English class, I'm in a group a five, and we have to write a story. I'm not telling you what the story's about, because I'm thinking of using our given topic for MY story for Sincerely-Hope's writing contest! . . . Maybe. Complicated much? Oh well. Anyway, did you doods know I have a TOOMBLORE???? Haha. Jk. It's called "tumblr". Anyway, it's woohoojazelyn.tumblr.com, and so far, I have ZIP on it. Nada. Zilch. Nuthin'. Zero. Except one measly post. (Ah hah! MEASLY! Words. . . Ha. . . I guess that's not as exciting as I thought.) *gets goosebumps* ARGH! Either I'm cold or I'm emotionally attached to Again again. Like, "Again" once again? Again by Bruno Mars again? Remember this post? Yep, it was a long day on YouTubeRepeat. Oh no, I'm sorry, Listen On Repeat. (Gosh, people, stop changing site names.) I'LL DO IT ALL OOOOOOOOVEEEEERRRRRRR AGAAAAAIIIN. . . FOR YOUUU!!!! *shivers* Aslfhsdflsdkhf, I just got goosebumps again!!! GOOSIES!!! I think it's about time I say goodbye. WE ARE FARMERS. BUM BA DUM BUM BUM BUM BUM! It's amazing how much stuff you can learn in a period of time. I was roaming around sincerely-hope's site, and I saw Kate 18's story, The Wilderness. Did anyone actually READ THAT SUCKER??! It was great! Like, srsly, who's Kate 18? Does she have a site? She needs to send me the rest of that story, yo!! So far it reminds me of The Hunger Games, but WHATEV!!!! Less blood and gore, and that's a good thing! Since the page with her story on it is probably gonna expire when the next writing contest ends, I better write that story in stone. To keep FOREVER. Sooo, you can read her fantastical story after clicking "Read More" at the end of this post. It's her stuff, totally NOT MINE. Her stuff. HER HACKIN' AWESOME STUFF.
Sorry, I get ecstatic when I find good writing like dat. (Especially with a little bit of romance. . . erggg, I can't helpt it!!) Anyway, you doods know AdorkableJ? It's okay, no mean gossip here, but I didn't know she was a fangirl! Like, she shipped stuff? No comprehend-o? Eh, it's okay, fandoms are complicated. Well, uh. . . Oh, yeah! The Wilderness story! Click "Read More" below! And remember, this is NOT MY WIRITNG!!!! |
